Dear All,

As an earlier posting brought no response (apparently owing to some =
technical problem) may I address you again with the problem of =
herdsmen`s sticks with special regard to the inlaid or carved =
decorations on them. I am engaged in a study of Hungarian staves, trying =
to find ways of interpreting their ritual decorations and looking for =
analogues in other nations' folk art. I would be grateful for any =
suggestions or information and post a summary on the list. Thanks.
