Ross,

Don't be surprised by the lack of enthusiasm for VDH
on this List.  The majority of the participants are
part of the Orthodox Classical Studies establishment,
and their job is actually to level the playing field
between Classics and other "worhtwhile" academic
endeavours like Women's Stuides etc.  VDH and his
dogmas is anathema to the culture of historical
revisionism which has taken firm root in the realm of
'higher education' (where the only thing 'high' about
it is the pot they're all smoking).
