Pfundstein has cited Shalom Goldman's "The Wiles of Women / The Wiles of Men: Joseph and Potiphar's Wife in Ancient Near Eastern, Jewish, and Islamic Folklore" (SUNY, 1995). Rather older, but possibly of some interest would be: "Joseph and Potiphar's Wife in World Literature: An Anthology of the Story of the Chaste Youth and the Lustful Stepmother," edited with brief discussions by John D. Yohannan (New Directions). In addition to the usual suspects (e.g. Euripides' "Hippolytus" in a somewhat peculiar BBC-commissioned translation by Ian Fletcher and D.S. Carne-Ross), this collection includes Ferdowsi's 11th century Persian story Siyawush and Sudaba" from his epic Shahnama, an abridgment of Jami's 15th cent.
