The next competition is being held in Albuquerque, New Mexico this April and is jointly sponsored by ASCE and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Participating teams are responsible for the design, fabrication and demonstration of a 1/12 scale engineered system for utilizing lunar soil to provide radiation shielding and meteorite impact protection for a lunar habitat. As a perk for your teamwork, undergrads can earn DESIGN CREDITS each quarter for participating on the Lunar design team. If interested in joining the Lunar team, contact Doug Olson (deolson@u.washington.edu) or Professor Dunston (pdunston@u.washington.edu). Thanks, Doug Olson Lunar Team Leader .
