Hey everyone.

Hope you're all enjoying your summers.  As you may have gleaned from Hoang's message about her apartment, she will not be in Seattle this fall quarter.  This means that we need to elect ourselves a new fall secretary.  I'll be taking nominations by email for the next three weeks (until midnight, Sunday Aug 4).  At that time, I'll announce the nominees, and if they accept the nomination, they can write a paragraph or two about why they want the job and why they would be good at it (like the talks we give during normal elections).  I will send these out to everyone, and we will subsequently vote online (if there is more than one candidate, anyway).
Bottom line: if you or someone you know would like to be secretary for the fall term, email me in the next three weeks.  (If you already have an appointed position, feel free to run for this in addition or instead.)  And continue to enjoy your summer!
