  "A MOTHER'S OWN STORY" will be presented this evening by DOROTHY HAJDYS
   
       March 13, 1997, 7:00 pm, Kilworth Chapel at UPS, No Admission
        
       Ms. Hajdys is the mother of a gay sailor who was murdered by 
       his shipmates in Japan.  She will speak about his death and
       will "encourage us to recognize the links between ignorance, 
       prejudice, and hate crime."  
          
       This is a timely message for all, particularly in light of the
       hatred expressed by the defacement of posters here on the UWT
       campus.
       
       Ms. Hajdys story is sponsored by UWT Pride Coalition, UWT Women's
       Network, and groups at both PLU and UPS.
