Yeah, but this really is more about pipelines than
bloodlines ... although it's always handy to throw in some
substrate of rhetoric drawn from the mindset of American
folk mythology. You know, on the level of the
intergenerational animosity of the McCoys and Hatfields. 

That's just about where we're at these days in a national
conversation in which only 50% are involved once every four years.
