Thank you all for your many kind and warm responses to my earlier message. There seems to be a good deal of confusion circling about what exactly are we ordering, how much it will cost and how much customizing we will be able to do. I originally thought we were only doing road frames, but enough people have expressed interest in Cyclo-Cross that could probably sustain two different orders. However, I want to caution everyone about the perils of purchasing two frames at the same time for events that take place at different times of the year. Most of us don't have the money to purchase and build up two different frames at the same time. What will most likely happen is people will end up chosing one or the other, and we may not end up with a minimum for either. Or worse yet, you may try to sell one frame for cash to build-up the other, which is Immoral. I myself have a basement full of frames which have no parts for exactly this reason. It's a spiritual thing. I suggest we hold off the Cylcocross order till later in the year and focus on the Road Order, since Jeff could never finish a production run before the end of this cross season anyways, and You WILL be expected to race them. Since many people want custom sizes, I will inquire about that. I still hope the Frames will be between $500 and $600 with a fork, you will save money if you don't want a fork. A few people have asked for a 1 1/8 headtube. Other people expressed concern about the toughness of the WishBone rear triangle, they said it was too 1997. I will bring all these concerns up when I meet with Jeff this Friday. Specific details on the cross-frame have come to light. According to Fletcher, Jeff will be providing them to us for the crazy outrageous price of $100 above his cost, around $400. These are not going to be the high-zoot ovalized top-tube frames like the one fletcher was dancing around on, but all the high quality craftsmanship will be there, and I'm told they will be CUSTOM sized for each rider. Oh, and they will have a distinctive "HUSKY" paint job. The tubeset will be Dedaccai steel, I don't know which one. Bryan, pardon me while I pull my foot out of my mouth. alex .
