The National Center for Health = Statistics is pleased to announce a new release of data in the Data = Warehouse on Trends in Health and Aging at http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/ag= ingact.htm. 

The site features three new tables on a = brand new topic--mortality by multiple cause of death.  The = release also includes new tables on influenza and pneumonia = vaccinations among the elderly and trends in the education level of the = elderly population.

The next demonstration on the warehouse will be at the NCHS exhibit = (booth #311) at the Gerontological Society of America=E2=80=99s annual = meeting in Washington, DC, November 19-22.  For more information = on the meeting, see  (http://www= ..eshow2000.com/geron/about_the_meeting.cfm. 

Visitors will see a demonstration of new tables, Spanish language = tables, teaching modules, and NCHS=E2=80=99s statistical testing = utility. 

The warehouse is a user-friendly web-based data = archive developed by NCHS with support from the National Institute on = Aging. It is specifically designed to show trends in health-related = behaviors, health status, health care utilization, functional status = and disability, and health care expenditures of the older = population.  The warehouse contains information from a variety of = national and state level data systems, the majority maintained by NCHS. =
