For those of you that are interested in racing 'cross in the future.  'Cross
bikes also make great rain bikes b/c of the great fender clearance you get
with cantilevers.  A pretty good deal, if  you ask me...

Hi all,

I have a 1998 Kona Jake the Snake in excellent condition for sale for $700
including a road wheel set. I used it as a commuter and thought I might race
'cross, but never did so it has only seen about 700 road miles. I'm selling
it because I need the cash to pick up a new downhill rig to race with the
team I just joined (pinch me -- my first sponsorship!!). The bike is in
great condition, with (surprise, surprise) a couple of scratches and one
small chip on the chainstay. I will include the Kona touch up paint. It
comes with an extra road wheelset with Shimano 105 hubs, Mavic MA2 rims and
Specialized team turbo tires. Both sets of tires are in great shape (the
cross tires are nearly new). The rims on the 2 wheelsets are identical so
you can swap the wheels without adjusting the derailleur. I'll deliver the
bike after a thorough cleaning and tune up.  You'll be happy with the
condition this bike is in. Aside from the scratches, it is like new. Please
email with questions.
