May Crown is just a little more than a month away, and the site is over the mountains in Central Or. It's about 300 miles on the shortest route, and a bit farther on the least mountain pass route. I am going. The last time we used this site, on Friday it was in the 70's and sunny during the day, then very cold and rainy at night, rain all day Saturday, Froze overnight, very cold all day on Sunday. However at the previous crown event this year in March, east of the mountains it was in the 70's and sunny all weekend. The typical weather for that week historically is partly cloudy 65 day and 39 night. Temperature's this year on average have been warmer, weather has been drier. Yes it is an illusion, and we won't know anything about the weather until we get there. so this year I will bring the fire pit, and the heater. I swear I will bring a lot more warm clothes! Thus being so prepared it'll probably be in the 80's. I will be bringing my shelters, and kitchen. I am debating on what to have for supper on Saturday, Chili Stroganof Stew. which ever is decided upon will be served in both meat and vegetarian styles. Just need to know who wants to camp in my encampment. And who wants to eat my stuff. You could camp with my encampment and cook your own food with my kitchen tools.
