Masechta Makkos describes executions in which people are burned to death by being forced to ingest melted lead. These sorts of executions were, by all accounts, rare. One situation described is that of a daughter of a priest (not Christian priest) from Assyria. Granted, any suicides under these circumstances would be, to a great degree, forced. Also, it is not through the meas of coals, but I believe it is somewhat analogous. I'll see if I can find a page reference.
