While a lot of us are riding the slippery streets, many of the veterans and a few newbies are out racing cross all over the Seattle area, and kicking some butt along the way. We've got Jimmy Lingwood, Troy Heithecker, Mike Henry, and now Erik Knoll all racing in the A men category, Greg Ullrich racing B's(If not A's soon). Adrian and Alex Wilson are racing single-speed, and Patrick Zahn, Brian Tracy, Mike Strumpf, and myself racing in the C's. And don't forget Alynda Boursaw representing the women in the C's. Altogether that is 12 huskies out there racing this fall. While there is no collegiate cyclocross season, there is a collegiate section at Cross-Nat's in Portland, Oregon on December 13th. We will probably have one of the biggest teams out there, so if you want to see the huskies race right before all the pro's, go down to Portland in December. Weekend rides are going to start being more focused on skills and bike handling. We have two training camps in a row, so you should be able to get any question answered at these camps. That being said please do not feel you can't ride with us if you are new to the sport. These rides remain no-drop, so the pace will be appropriate for everyone. In the next month or so we will start weekday training which will be where you can put the hammer on. Next week: Mandatory Team Meeting for clothing orders, sponsorships, training plans. ***If you know of anyone who wishes to join the team have them contact me @ ljd2@u.washington.edu*** I will send out a team roster/contact sheet soon so you can get a hold of individual people and not the entire list. See you on the road, Luke Duvall Husky Cycling Team President .
