Mike Furman... are you listening? He gave us an overview of his thoughts on this about 1-2 years ago. I wonder if he is still out there listening? The neuromuscular PE sections need to be improved and I will be providing feedback. The company has a very strong Internet focus and is moving at light speed with upgrades. The Internet Logician client is java based and allows one to work on a workstation and synch patient records (and template preferences) to a secure data center. If your working on another PC use can access read only records via a browser or edit with an installed, free java client. They have plans for Palm Pilot client soon. I am working with our hospital to provide this a subsidized option for dictation. In other words they pay the $100 a month per doc with the agreement that the physician will use this as an alternative to dictation. The benefit the doc gets is a free system for all locations. Medicalogic has evaluated it with L&H medical dictation system and says it works well. For those involved in residency programs it is available for free (including faculty). So encourage your program director to evaluate this. All I ask is that you give me credit for the initial referral. It is definitely worth trying for free for 1 month.
