First and Third Saturday of every month (call to confirm on holidays). 9:30 a.m.-?? All experience levels are welcome. Hopefully we will have enough participation to break into smaller groups based on tempo and expertise. To get there: I-5 to highway 101N Black lake Boulevard Exit R on Bl. Lake Blvd. L on Cooper Point Rd. Left at first light into Top Foods parking Lot Meet at Starbucks (9:00 for coffee; 9:30 for carpool departure) If you'd rather meet at the forest, call Friday evening before 10 for meeting location. (360) 786-0174 Bring: HELMET, GLASSES, spare tube, food and clothes (both for the ride and to change into afterwards), and basic pocket toolset if you have one. A plastic bag for mucky clothes is always a plus. I'll provide maps (plastic bag for teh map is always a plus). Remember, it's always colder (5 degrees maybe?) up in the forest than it is in town. Restrictions: Helmet and glasses are required equipment for these rides. Riders without them will be asked not to come with the group. Nobody rides alone. Whoever is last back will have company. Guys: The focus of this ride is to encourage women to experience mountain biking in an environment that is comfortable and free of pressure to perform at any particular level. Secondly, the goal is to encourage women to learn skills that allow self-reliance in riding and mechanical repairs. I won't say men can't come, however if you do, please respect the objective of this ride. This is NOT a dating opportunity. Any questions, or if you're interested in leading a ride (we could expand thsi ride to every week with enough ride leaders--now wouldn't that be cool), call me at 360-786-0174. see you there!
