The plan provides the framework for managing our state forests for the next 70-100 years, but many of the details will be determined in the course of implementing the plan. Public oversight of the plan's implementation will play a critical role in ensuring that public resources such as clean water, fish, and wildlife are protected. DNR is interested in meeting with members of the conservation community, to give an update on the HCP and their plans for beginning to implement it, as well as to answer questions and hear feedback. Kaleen Cottingham, Jane Lamensdorf-Bucher and Chuck Turley are available for a meeting either June 26th from 1:30 to 3:30pm, or July 8th, from 3:30 to 5:30pm, at the Washington Environmental Council office in downtown Seattle If you would be interested in participating in such a discussion, please reply to this e-mail. Let me know which of the above dates you prefer. thank you, Becky Kelley Washington Environmental Council 206-622-8103 beckkelley@aol.com .
