Let me know... ~Brent ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Sun, 9 May 1999 01:24:15 -0700 From: T-Bone To: The Dawgband List Subject: STARWARS SCREENING SPECIAL SCREENING OF STARWARS EPISODE I INFORMATION!!! Hello everyone. As some of you may know I work at the Mountlake 9 cinemas in Mountlake Terrace and we are getting 2 prints of Starwars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. A couple of us have been working on this for a while but didn't want to send out any info until we knew for sure what could and couldn't happen. We figured that way as few people as possible would get disappointed. Ok so lets get to the point. I have arranged a special screening of Starwars Episode I for Band, Cheer, and friends. This special screening will cost each person that attends $6 and will be in the largest auditorium at the Mountlake 9. The screening will take place at the Mountlake 9 Cinemas(if you don't know where it is I can post directions) and it will happen at 7:30am on Saturday morning the 22nd of May. I know it is not opening day, and I know that it is early but they would not allow us to do it at any time during business hours and if we wanted to do it after closing (around 3:00am) it would cost us over time pay for the employees that will be working the screening for us(that means it would cost us more). The kicker is that we need to sell 400 seats at $6 per person by Thursday May 13th! In the Band Guide including Big Staff and Student Staff there are 264 members between band and cheer. That leaves 136 openings left. Each person in band and cheer will be guaranteed a seat (as long as you pay your $6). The rest of the tickets are for friends and family of Band and Cheer members. They will be sold on a first come first serve basis and for now we would like to limit those seats to 6 guests per Band or Cheer person. On Wednesday afternoon after 3:00pm if we haven't collected enough money that will be opened up to 12 guests per person(so that we can fill the auditorium) To turn in your $ and buy you and your guests seats you must go to the dawghouse during a specified time Monday through Wednesday. Turn your money into Either Max, Ty, or Tameem NO LATER than 4:00pm Wednesday. Monday---Max 10am-2pm Tuesday---Ty 10:30am-12:15pm, Tameem 1:30pm-4:00pm Wednesday--- Ty 10:30am-12:15pm, Tameem 1:30pm-4:00pm These are times when we will be available in the Dawghouse. Make sure that you put your money in an envelope with your name on it as well as how many guests and how much money is in the envelope. DO NOT SEAL it cause we have to count it out to make sure we have enough money. The reason for this is that if we do not have enough $ by Wednesday at 4:00pm we will have to cancel the show. I am sorry to say but none of us have the $ to put it up front, so that is just the way it will have to be. We need it in the envelopes so that if the show does have to be canceled it will be easy to give people their money back. Hope you all can make it.
