I was dumbfounded and seriously put out by the events of yesterday morning.  So much so, that although I wasn't planning to do so, I actually posted to the List under a pseudonym from this address (subject: CONDOLENCES).  I am a bad seed... what more can I say?   

What happened yesterday in Manhattan and Washington was a heinous act perpetrated against all of *us*, and I simply acted out of a horrified reflex in wishing to express my concern and sympathy.  This was not the only List I submitted such messages to, just the only one I used a pseudonym on and I wanted to correct that.  I have had my differences with some of you, but *I am not your enemy*.  In this time of great trial and suffering, I think it is important that everyone knows what's what, and who's who. 

I think whoever was involved in these terrible assaults should be punished, and swiftly. 

I'll just disappear back into silence now... no need to muzzle me Linda.
