Organizational Fair in the Commons last week very successful. It was decided that buttons/stickers should be purchased to replenish our supply. They will be needed for our concession table at the Poetry Group at the Pantages the 3rd Thurs of each month. Copies of handouts will also be obtained (brochures, People in History List, PRIDE meeting notice) These will be placed in the Commons and be readily available to everyone. Report on bank account: email phonan if you want exact figures. Dorothy Hajdys will be our Winter Quarter speaker. Expenses and speakers fee will hopefully be shared by other groups. As you may recall, her son was the Navy sailor killed in Japan because he was gay. Her emphasis is on violence towards G/L. Emily will contact the Arts & Lectures Committee to see what is needed to apply for funds. Suzanne will contact PLU/UPS to determine cosponsorship. Patty will contact BSU and PFLAF. Karin will contact the the Women's Network. Anyone interested in donating their time and expertise to help this be a successful event, please let us know. Women's network. The group discussion last week on "special rights" was informative with input from several people. If you weren't there, you missed a good time. Topic for next open forum will be decided next week and posted. Come and participate! Patty will contact everyone on last year's mailing list and see if they still want information about PRIDE. She will invite them to our meetings held in Perkins 712 each Tues. @ 1:00pm. The disc with email addresses on it will be given to Emily to follow-up on.
