Anyone may choose to make list of overused expressions but I do not find the
list from Lake Superior University especially persuasive.  That said, I
would suggest:

>From the NYT: epicenter, erode, social fabric

>From announcements of next week's televisual offerings: all new

More generally: give me a break

Weather forecasts: X's weather (where X is the person who reads the forecast
to you), we're calling for (= we forecast), cold temperatures
