I have been castigated by someone who ought to be on this list but isn't 
for the weakness of my acquaintance with Vergil.

Did Vergil in high school Latin.  Hated it.

OK.

What translation[s] do you recommend I start with.  I have the 
Fitzgerald & C. Day Lewis on hand.
