Workshop 1: How to find the internship or community service position that's right for you. You will learn how internships and community service can enhance your college education, help you build important analytical and workplace skills, and enable you to learn more about yourself and contribute to the community. You will learn how to use the resources on campus to find an internship or community service position, including the Carlson Office's brand new database of opportunities. Workshop 2: How to earn academic credit for interships and community service. You will learn how to combine an academic project with your community work and earn academic credit for it. You will be presented several examples of successful for-credit community experiences.
