What struck as odd was that the ad seemed to compare the corporation itself--sponsor of the ad--as a dung-filled mess. I did not save it and can't recall the company -- which makes me wonder: do our university colleagues in advertising and journalism have indexes of themes used in advertising? Someone must. I met a guy who apparently invented the classic "For A Better Way to Keep your Nest Egg" ads for a bank, famous in the New Yorker in the 50s. His house was a gallery of men (always) chained to huge eggs in various odd settings (though never nesting).
