Spanish poet (Alonso de Ercilla, "La Araucana," Canto 3, stanza 44) might have had in mind when he mentioned, inter alios, "Furius," "Fulvius," "Marcus Sergius," and "Scaeva" ("Sceva"---not Scaevola, whom he had mentioned in the previous stanza).
