Hi, Didn't get to go to the workshop but I was in a meeting with administration yesterday to get a procedure established and questions answered. Debbie Fockler wanted me to ask the List Serve some questions. First, which office at your schools does Residency?=20 The Admissions Office. (me) Second, which office handles the 1079 process?=20 The Admissions Office. (me) Third, what is your timeline for students to return the Affidavit? The same as for other residency documents - 30 days from the start of = the quarter. Fourth, is this part of the admission process? All applicants deemed to be non-residents are sent "non-reident" cards = in their acceptance packets. If an applicant indicates in the = citizenship section of the Application that s/he is "other", I call = him/her to obtain clarification and additional information. This may = result in the Affadavit being forwarded. And last but not least, what is the latest information regarding Visa holders. We have had students in the past who were in high school and on dependent Visa's such as H2, J2, etc. As of this date none have requested an Affidavit. We've had two fill out the Affidavit.
