Summer Quarter is the first quarter of the 2003-2004 academic year. The types and amounts of aid available for Summer are limited. The first step in applying for Summer aid is to submit a 2003-2004 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). After the UW has received the FAFSA information, continuing students can complete the on line Summer application. Students have to be admitted in order to be considered for Summer processing. New students applying for Summer will also have to be admitted in order to be processed. Normal processing time for Summer Quarter aid can take up to eight weeks depending on when the FAFSA was submitted. You are encouraged to pay your Summer tuition if your aid will not be ready in time. Tuition for Summer 2003 is due on Friday of the third week of the Quarter - July 11, 2003. When applying for Summer aid your eligibility will be based on your current FAFSA information on file, college major and class level. If your plans should change contact Financial Services. The new web based application for Summer aid is up and available as of today. To access this application students go through the UW Tacoma Financial Aid website, click on basic steps, and follow the links for Summer Aid. This will instruct you to log on to MyUW... Please contact Student Financial Services by emailing us at osfatac, with any additional questions that you have. Prioity funding application processing will occur between April 14th and May 17th for Summer 2003... Once again, for those new students applying for Summer you can not begin this process until you have a UW email account and private access code.
