Can't we get the list down to : "month books"? DL is still too ambitious. In case no one else has yet mentioned it by the time this post arrives, I shall name: John Reed, *Ten Days that Shook the World* (1919) It IS non-classical, but then DL has himself has chosen to run : the risk of violating [his] "classics only" rule I am also surprised - nay shocked - that no-one has yet mentioned, among books with years in their titles, that notable classic of historical scholarship, W C Sellar & R J Yeatman, *1066 and All That* (1930) That omission was certainly not a Good Thing.
