After that, we're inflexible. Vicki Wheeler BCC -----Original Message----- From: Coker-Anderson, Andrea [mailto:CokerA@evergreen.edu] Sent: Friday, January 30, 2004 5:02 PM To: Discussion of Residency Issues State Wide Subject: 12-Month Period Dear Colleagues: I have an adult student who returned to Washington as of January 13, 2003 after many years living out of state. She immediately began working and changed her ties to the state of Washington in all ways. She began a student status as of Spring Quarter 2003 and has remained a full-time student since that time. She has applied to change her residency for winter quarter, 2004 and was denied because her domicile was not established 12 months prior to the day the quarter began. Evergreen began winter quarter, 2004 as of January 5th. The student did not return until January 13th, 2003. How insistent are you all about this timeline for a person who is not presumed to be in the state for educational purposes? As always I appreciate your advice...
