If you made your key using OpenSSH, you have to translate it into a format readable by ssh2 and ssh1, both of which are on Dante. I would go with ssh2 since it is more secure, but ssh1 will still work fine. I believe the OpenSSH command to do the translation is: ssh-keygen -e -f public_key_file > another_file.pub Then use the other file as the key on Dante. 2. Make sure the permissions on the authorized_keys file is correct. It should only be readable by you. If that doesn't fix it, please provide the output of ssh -v.
