I thank you for all the good information that rolls through. A young woman from England called who is here on an R1 Religious Worker visa. She is employed by Salvation Army, has been in Washington for two years, has her WDL and has done all the other things necessary to establish residency (except register to vote which she cannot do). She wants to know what her resident status will be? I have not found anything in the handbook that refers to this visa status. I think she is strictly limited to employment privileges but wanted to check it out first.
