Hello, If you're receiving this message, it's because you're on one of the more than two hundred mailing lists run off of the cyclery.com / cycling.org server. As such, you are among the tens of thousands of bicyclists who use these lists every day to communicate, coordinate and otherwise discuss issues related to cycling on a local, regional, national and/or international level. Some of you may be unaware of how these lists are supported. Over a year ago we instituted a voluntary contribution method of support to help to insure the continued operation and growth of the mailing lists. These contributions are made by subscribers like you and are strictly on a voluntary basis. Contributions are in the amount $25.00 U.S. If you make the contribution, you will be entered into a monthly sweepstakes for products supplied by sponsors in the bicycle industry. White Lightning, Sun Ringle', Ti Cycles, Headland, Specialized, Pedros, InstaGel, Timbuk2 and Nytex have all donated products to be raffled off in these sweepstakes. So by contributing one time, you are entered into these sweepstakes for hundreds of dollars worth of product each month -- not to shabby, huh? Just to repeat, this is just a one-time contribution per subscriber regardless of the number of lists to which you are subscribed. I should make it clear that this is strictly voluntary and will not affect your list in any way. There will be no records kept of lists or list subscribers who choose not to contribute, so even if no one on a particular list makes a contribution, the costs of maintaining that list will be covered indefinitely. However, it is necessary to raise funds in some way to ensure the continuing operation of the mailing lists. It is hoped that enough list subscribers from all of the lists will choose to make this contribution, thereby covering the costs of all of the lists. So how do you contribute? There are three different methods that we suggest: 1. Secure credit card transaction over the Internet using a secure commerce server. Please go to http://cyclery.com/support/ to use this method. 2. Check in US funds. Please make checks payable in US funds to Planet C Publishing and mail to: Planet C Publishing P.O. Box 28208 Bellingham, WA 98228 USA Be sure to include an e-mail address where you can be reached so that we can notify you if you win! 3. Credit card via fax or regular mail. You can fax your name, e-mail address where you can be reached, billing address, credit card type (MasterCard or VISA), card number, expiration date, and signature, and we will process the charge manually. Fax this information to (360) 715-0366 or mail to Planet C Publishing at the address above. Please show how valuable these mailing lists are to you by making your contribution today. Thanks for your time and happy cycling! Sincerely, Carl Flansbaum carl@cyclery.com ------------------< Cyber Cyclery >------------------ http://cyclery.com/ info@cyclery.com 360.715.1288 P.O.
