There is still plenty of time: PROPOSALS DUE to be postmarked by MONDAY, DECEMBER 20, 1999. In addition to provocative keynote and plenary sessions, we have designed 1.5 hour 'skill building' formats and 2-3 hour 'facilitated discussion formats' to accommodate and inspire both newer and advanced practitioners. The facilitated discussion format endeavors to expand the traditional concept of "presenter" to include a participatory leadership paradigm. We will explore service-learning through the lens of "Relationships, Rigor, and Responsibility," as well as host an informative and interactive plenary session on the "Engaged Campus." We have been intentionally INCLUSIVE in our planning and development of this conference, thus in addition to the traditional faculty, staff, and administrative constituencies, we encourage you to consider inviting your community partners and students to present at and attend the conference. THANKS for your consideration and we hope to see you in Seattle! - Kevin ***************************************************************** Kevin Kecskes Program Director Western Region Campus Compact Consortium Western Washington University, MS-5291 Bellingham, WA 98225 Phone: 360-650-7554 Fax: 360-650-6895 kkecskes@cc.wwu.edu The Consortium Website is: http://www.ac.wwu.edu/~wrccc/ "The work will show us how to do it." - Estonian proverb .
