Removal of the westside sidewalk began last Friday, and sidewalk paving will continue through next week. The street trees are scheduled for installation during the week of 4/21, and the streetlights and parking meters will be installed by 5/17. NE 47th Street Grading of the intersection is set to begin 4/18, with paving to follow next week. Paving is scheduled to be complete by 4/29, at which time curb installation will begin. The intersection is still expected to reopen to traffic by 5/12. 4700 Block Installation of the new storm drain is complete, and the new catch basins installations will be completed during the week of 4/21. All of the new water service transfers are also now complete. Work on the gas supply line in the alley west of The Ave should be completed by 4/19. Beginning 4/18, work will begin to grade, excavate and pave the street up to NE 50th. NE 50th Street & 5000 Block The NE 50th Street intersection is now expected to close to traffic on approximately 5/12 and is expected to remain closed until late June when the repaving is completed. Demolition of the intersection and the eastern half of the street is also expected to begin the week of 5/12. Once demolition is complete, the water main will be replaced, and new storm drainage structures will be installed. Afterwards, new pavement will be installed, as well as new sidewalks on the eastside of the street to approximately mid-block.
