I must say that if I were to plunk for a translation of Catullus that was at
the same time both poetry and useful as a translation, I'd go for Michie's
parallel version.  There are some in Copley's that touch the jauntiness,
naughtiness of Catullus, but as a whole it's not as good / useful as
Michie's.  But then Michie is a good enough modern poet, whereas Copley was
a more than good enough scholar, but not such a good poet.
