I realize that the focus of your work and conversation on a new proposal was gaining additional funds for this year. If you would like to put together a different series or another sort of project for next year you'll need to e-mail Margit a letter of intent by tomorrow. They ask that this letter be a brief description of the project you have in mind--you should take a look at the Simpson Center site. If you don't feel you can get that together at this point, there's also the second funding round. My efforts at this point are going to be directed toward raising funds to make this year fly and on participating in this year's events. We should meet in a few weeks as a larger group to talk about your conversations, funds, and the Lowe talk. I was hoping to meet with everyone on the week of 10/21, at which time I should have a better idea of where we stand in terms of funding. Let me know what days/times generally work best.
