The confusion arose from the last sentence of the nomination form, which reads: > * Remember, only active members who have fulfilled the requirements > for membership as stated in the Chapter Bylaws are permitted to run > for office, unless excused from these requirements as stated therein. Since the current pledges will undergo the Brotherhood Ceremony right after elections and well before installation, they are technically "excused", since they will be actives for the entirety of their term. Sorry about the confusion; the sentence is adapted from the previous edition of the form that I received. So once again, PLEDGES, YOU ARE ELIGIBLE TO RUN FOR OFFICE, and I know several intend to do so. Reminder, forms are due by Sunday 11 January 23:59. Also, FYI, we are now targeting the evening of Monday 12 January for the Nominating Committee meeting, where all officer candidates will be interviewed. Please start looking at your calendar now. As soon as we have a set time and place, I will start asking for appointments. Please contact me directly if you have any other questions. Thanks! YiLFS, Jason **********************Jason T.
