I bought it a few years ago for $4.95. I don't know what inflation has done to the price. I haven't read all of it but the translations by Moses Hadas -- without reference to the Greek (hopefully a specialist on the list can say something about that) is not too weird -- something I look for in a translation of ancient drama. (I'm thinking of the Erich Segal translation of Plautus which just doesn't sound like English in certain phrases -- de gustibus, however -- I'm sure others will disagree.) Another consideration for me is that often the print and paper are more readable in the Bantam books than the Signet series. I also thought, as a novice, that the introductions were helpful. But Oxford Classics have come out with a lot of stuff in paperback that have (to me) really great annotations. I wonder if there is a complete collection of Aristophanes from them.
