EMPLOYER WEB SITES - More than three-quarters of college students say the quality of an employer's web site influences their decision in whether to apply for a position, according to a poll of 1,000 students by Jobtrak.com, an online job listing service. INTERNET-RELATED JOBS - The number of employees in Internet-related jobs doubled in 1999, to 2.5 million Americans. The careerjournal.com and planetIT.com web sites report two new Internet-related jobs: * "Sourcing specialist" - someone who gathers names, contact information, and resumes from the web, allowing experienced recruiters more time for other recruiting activities. * "Computational linguists" - people with language expertise and good computer skills who improve a company's online customer service and keyword searches.
