Let us just keep in mind that we do not want to tax Lowe too much -- we might want to also invite the other Asian Americanists to dinner and encourage Lowe to come. I very much agree with your observation though and think we should indeed find a way for these key students to meet with her in a more intimate/ substantial roundtable. Might I also suggest that we particularly encourage those students to attend the workshop? What do the rest of you think? Let me get in touch with Lowe so I might get a sense of her Seattle plans that are not UW related.
