BIKE TEAM INFO FOUND HERE! To: kcesar@u.washington.edu MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Bike Team and all people interested in being part of the bike team. Yesterday Matt and I updated the bike team portion of the webpage. We added alot of info for other units who are trying to start bike teams along with some bike SAR links and training dates. I have at least one training date set aside for every month for the rest of the year. Our first date is this Sunday the 19th. We will be helping Bob's group map the trails on Tiger. We will be able to get 4x4 rides to the bike trails, leaving us an all downhill ride. We will start at 10:00. There are around 12 miles of trails to do and we'll need three teams of two people, so I'd like at least six folks to help. There will be two teams on the Eastside and one on the west. It should be a blast! Of course those are interested in joining the bike team are welcome and strongly encouraged to attend. All you have to do is go on one ride and show you can stay on the bike under normal conditions and you're pretty much in. It's an easy first step up in ESAR! A training and meeting is tentatively scheduled for Thursday the 23rd. All bike qualified members (and those interested) are very extremely highly ecouraged to be there. We will be doing a bike repair class and talking about the Bike Team. We will once again view the highly entertaining, yet extordinarily cheesy bike safety video which recieved two thumbs down from Siskel and Ebert (like they know anything about bikes), since some members haven't seen it yet. This is tentative until I confirm that the bike mechanic can come at this date. The location has not been set yet either. It will probably start at 19:00. So please view the webpage (a new picture will appear in a few days too!) and come to the rides and meetings. And if we ever get a bike team mission, show up for that too! Ya'll have a nice week...Todd PS. Thanks again to Matt for the help in putting the most complete bike SAR page together. We have one of the coolest SAR pages on the web! _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!? Get your free @yahoo.com address at http://mail.yahoo.com .
