I love Veruca Salt... I wasn't trying to say they were bad or nothin... I was just trying to compare them to someone... but I wasn't sure that that was the right band... Let me tell you though... It really is turning into a concert a week. I saw Sloan 2 weeks ago who played the best that I have ever seen them. Their openers were Elizabeth from Sarge, who played Sarge songs acoustic, which was really cool. She sounded great. Then there was one other band that I cant seem to recall at the moment, oh wait... Deadly Snakes.. they were rotten. They had a good sound, but as soon as the lead singer opened his mouth, it was all over. They probably would have been better if I had my back turned too... slobbering drunk, stoned off their asses... But thats okay. Then Elizabeth said that she was coming back with her band next week, meaning last Friday, and so my friends and i made an impromptu decision to go... right after she announced this, she went into a rendition of Cyndi Lauper's "When You Were Mine"... how cool is that? It was really good. Last Friday's concert was cool too.. The first band, Sugarbuzz was awesome... Anyone recognize/know them? They kinda had a Duncan Sheik/Jars Of Clay/Dishwalla sound... The second band, Wolvie or Wolfie, whatever the hell that was wasn't too great... Kinda reminded me of the Brady Bunch of the 90's... Except the guitarist.. he was okay. Then the third band, i need help with. The name is the lead singer's name, Angie H-something (i cant figure it out) and they were really cool. There's the female lead singer, and then three guys. I know that isnt a lot of help, but can anyone recognize them? And Sarge was their usual rock-out knock off my socks selves... really really good. And I figured it out: They sound Pumpkin-esque... they have the same distortion as the Smashing Pumpkins, and lots of different things sound like them that i really cant describe. But sounding like Veruca Salt wasnt meant to be bad :) 'Zall fer now... Christina P.S. Wouldnt it make a cool trip to go see Tim's band?
