Eek!  Jeff, I'm so sorry to read that you've broken your leg!  I'm 
sending you my best wishes for a speedy recovery.

I live in the Arboretum neighborhood (just below 23rd), and my street has 
been encased in ice since Saturday.  My advice is to STAY AWAY--ride 
rollers or something.  It's not worth the risk!
