While our recruitment efforts brought us many qualified candidates, our search has -- unfortunately -- been unsuccessful. After the first of the year, we will be reviewing options and deciding the best course of action. In the meantime, Maxine Hayes will continue as Acting State Health Officer and Jac Davies will continue as Acting Assistant Secretary for Epidemiology, Health Statistics and Public Health Laboratories. Special thanks goes to both Maxine and Jac for continuing in these roles. .
