An engineer with interest in environmental engineering, chemistry, chemical engineering, and governmental policies appears to be in the ball-park of this opening. I received a phone call from Dennis Schuetzle (graduated with PhD from Univ. of Washington and is presently in charge of Ford research & development regarding Ford products sold in Asia) about this opening. The location of the position will be in State of Michigan (with possibly some travel to Asia) and the duration is in the 3-6 mos time (Dennis recognizes our 3 quarter academic arrangement with the mid-June to mid-Sept. summer qtr). Let me know if you are interested (email or phone at 206 543-4789). I would guess that there is the opportunity for funding for a grad student's thesis or dissertation research - but the position is described as an internship. Sincerely Mike Pilat, Professor of Civil Engineering .
