Do you really consider my questions irrelevant and not worth answering? Are our future professional lives and careers at this university irrelevant as well if you are not willing to spell out what, according to YOUR plan (don't you have one?) is going to happen to us, on the one hand, and the Slavic Studies on this campus, on the other, if the department is eliminated? We have been getting EXTREMELY MIXED signals from you and Vice-Provost Olswang, whom we were directed to consult regarding our future. Please stop treating us like criminals with no rights -- we did nothing to deserve that! We are entitled to some clarity in contingency plans, especially if you yourself believe, as you stated to Karl Kramer, Gordana Crnkovic and Katarzyna Dziwirek at the meeting last week, that the elimination is a foregone conclusion despite the report of our appeal board which found your actions to be in violation of the Faculty Code.
