The deadline for resumes to be submitted for the Supervalu Professional
Development Program is approaching.  The resume deadline is January 18,
2001.  Interested candidates should drop off their resumes to the Career
Services located in BHS 105.

Program Description:
The Professional Development Program (PDP) is a management training
program to recruit and place highly talented individuals into an
accelerated learning program to prepare them for key professional and
management roles within the company.  Trainees are recruited internally
from Supervalu and externally from colleges and universities based on
their potential to take on significant roles within the company.

The program is rotation-based.  Over two years, each trainee will
experience an entry level position in three major business units of
Supervalu.  

Training plans are currently available or in production for four
positions: Warehouse Supervisor, Tech Buyer, Human Resources Specialist,
and Retail Store Department Manager.

Qualifications:
Must have a four-year degree and  interest in pursing the food industry.

Preferred Qualifications:
Background in Business Administration; experience in grocery retail or
wholesale experience.
