As practically all of you probably know, the Lift Jesus Higher rally is this Friday, April 2. What you may not know about is the wide-open opportunity to help lead the rally yourselves, singing in the best seats in the Square. Hopefully, we will have people joining the choir on the steps of Suzzallo at random all through our worship, but that doesn't mean we should throw preparation all out the window; indeed, our best opportunity to praise God comes when we do the decision-making ahead of the time and let the presence take us where He wills at the time. To that end, you and every possible friend are invited to invest some preparation time in the songs that will probably be used at the rally. We really have no idea what God has in store for us Friday, whether we'll need the framework of songs we have planned out or it gets tossed out the proverbial window. We don't have any requirements for the choir- love the Lord, what a requirement- so you don't really need to tell anyone whether or not you'll take part this way; just show up. There is a meeting to worship and pray over Red Square the night before the rally, starting at 8 PM. No doubt, we'll practice some of the more unfamiliar songs and work out kinks. It's a really rewarding time of fellowship, for the mind and the soul; if you can make it, I strongly, strongly recommend you do. In any event, the Lord's family will be out in crowds on Friday, and I, personally, wouldn't miss this gathering for the world! The rally will be going on for a long time, no doubt, so if you can't make it at 12 or you have to leave in the middle, that's fine. This rally is about the Lord moving in our campus and there is no better time, at least this week, to be a part of it. Next week, who knows what will happen? Bring people to the Lord, show the Lord, bring the Lord... it's heady stuff, the stuff of miracles. It's God, at the UW.
