Unfortunately I do not read Portuguese but for those of you who do, these appear to be very useful articles. Some are in Spanish, and English. While you are at the main website www.scielo.br be sure to explore the other public health articles. Clearly this is a very rich literature that non-Portuguese speakers are missing . From the abstracts, this is an amazing collection of articles. Several titles, for example "The concept of space in epidemiology: a historical and epistemological approach" very much attracted my interest. Clearly something is going on in Brazil in our field we all need to know about. > >Links to Brazilian papers on GIS and Health: .........snipped........ I read and speak brazilian portuguese fluently, having lived and worked there for ten years. I will be happy to reply to requests for small pieces of translation (no time for full-fledged whole-items). Send the brasilian paragraph offlist, and I'll reply, to the list if desired.
