As you may have heard, our department has been victimized twice within the last month by someone coming in during normal hours and snatching wallets from offices and labs. Could you please pass on a note to the entire department via e-mail to ask them to be aware of any suspicious people in Roberts or Mueller? Since this is the beginning of the quarter and there are many new faces, this is a very opportune time for the thief to strike again. All offices and labs should be kept locked and wallets kept in safe places. Report any suspicious activity to the campus police immediately The same person is suspected of taking both wallets in the most recent incidents. He is a black male, approx. 6 feet, with hair tyed back in a pony-tail. If students see anybody matching this description anywhere in Roberts, the police ask to be notified immediately. This person is wanted in a string of similar thefts around the university. Please pass this message on to our department and forward to any other departments you may be in contact with. Thanks. Tom .
