An Tir has an established Order for archers and missile combatants: The Order of the Gray Goose Shaft. This is a polling order that recommends candidates to the Crown. Members must demonstrate the skills expected of a Member of Chivalry, as well as promote archery throughout the Kingdom, participate in wars, attain at least Master Bowman rank in target archery and demonstrate general knowledge of the Society. Members of the OGGS are permitted by Kingdom law to take students who are known singularly as an Arcarius or plurally as Arcarii. I am asking the populace to give me their opinions, both for and against, on the inclusion of archers and other missile combatants into the Order of Chivalry. *** PLEASE SEND OPINIONS DIRECTLY TO ME, DO NOT REPLY TO THE MAILING LISTS! *** I don't want to start another heated thread like we've had in the past. I am collecting these opinions so that I may accurately reflect the attitude of the populace towards this issue in my paper. Names will not be included so you are free to express your true opinion. I am the only one who reads this e-mail account and I will keep each response in confidence. *** ANY RESPONSE THAT IS ALSO POSTED TO A MAILING LIST WILL NOT BE USED! *** The finished work will be available on my web page, which is still under construction. I could not find the mailing lists of many branches so if your branch has a mailing list that is not listed in the "To:" please forward this message in whole to that mailing list so that I can include opinions in my work that reflect the entire populace. Thank you for your time and assistance. Lord Yeoman Arcarius Giovanni dell'Arco .
